The gender dimension of the Russian war in Ukraine

We will talk about the gender dimension of the war: about those who make their unique contribution to the defence and development of the country. Who are those people, who went to the war, volunteered, empowered diasporas, and told the world amazing stories “from within”? How it became possible to form a resilient community?

The lecture will delve into the difficulties faced by the civic groups, pursuing their agenda under the pressure of two juxtaposing forces: external aggression from one side, and discriminating state institutions from the other. A separate focus is put on the role of technologies in the empowerment of civil society: let us look at the ways civic technologies contribute to equality and the achievement of common goals.
